Fafo researchers have conducted an RDS survey among homeless Romanians in the Scandinavian capitals, giving valuable insights int the mobility and livelihood options of beggars and other streetworkers in Oslo, Copenhagen and Stockholm. The surveys have given an incredibly rich material that I look forward to publish from in the years to come. The first results are summarized this report, and a some of the main findings are presented in this commentary (in Norwegian). As is often the case when controversial research findings are presented, the methodology applied came under scrutiny. This resulted in the two Norwegian commentaries: Tigging, forskning og moralisme (Norwegian) og Om tiggere og tullinger (Norwegian)
Forskning.no also had a in-debt piece on how researchers can trust what people say, and whether or not it is possible for researchers to get information on human trafficking and the organization of begging through interviews. Can be accessed here (Norwegian)
